It's looking more and more like Justice Kennedy received assurances from the WH that Kavanaugh (his former law clerk) would be the one to replace him. And THAT is why he felt comfortable enough to retire this year.

This will really just end up being another form of controlling free speech. It will have gate keepers that make the decision to provide alternate information. Who gets to be the gate keepers? What is the criteria for adding counter links?

Everybody on this forum would come up with a different list of sources that they trust. The rest of the forum could find instances where those sources were wrong. The thought police are becoming stronger.

Because often that lone wolf, different drummer type is inadequately funded to do "all the other legwork" that it takes to support some radical assertion that contravenes the accepted wisdom. I mean consider the allegation of tetracycline in massive doses over 3,000 years BC. Astounding assertion based on x-rayed mummies. Took some experts and a team of graduate researchers at UC Davis over two years to prove him right. Should the lone wolf researcher have kept silent? The lab equipment at UC Davis was beyond his means and the two years was beyond his finances.

It's not censoring any speech that's there, that's the beauty of it. I don't believe the Supreme Court has ever ruled that more speech is censorship..
