They are easy arrests to make. A cop sees a woman dressed like a hooker loitering in a known pick-up area and he just arrests her and testifies to some imaginary conversation about a price.

Even now that cyberspace is often involved the arrests are fairly easy. Taxpayers see headlines and think the cops are actually doing more than slurping coffee.

I did not know any families that had a maid that cooked. Not a single one.
A few had a stop by cleaning maid a couple days a week but that was it. Not a maid that cooked.

I thought pizza on the roof was a Breaking Bad house thing.

English butler. It was a plot gimmick.

There are many sexless marriages out there, for a myriad of reasons. If one partner, in this case lets say it is the wife, just decides she no longer wants sex in her life. This is indeed a thing and problem. Sex is obviously an important part of marriage. However, as we all agree love can be present without sex. If there are not real reasons to stop having sex in a marriage then counseling might be an important help in reestablishing a healthy sex life in marriage.

No matter what the answer is NOT turning to prostitution. It is an evil for both people no matter how much we try to cover it over by saying they are consenting adults and people are getting paid for it. What are they getting paid for? They are getting paid to be used by someone to relieve their sexual tension. They are paid to be used as an object and not a human person with feelings and emotions that cannot be separated in the act of sexual relations. Sex is the most intimate act we can do with one another. It involves our emotions and not just our plumbing. People are deeply hurt by being used or in using others for sexual gratification.

I can't believe you are comparing having sex with someone to singing for someone?!? Or cutting someone's grass? Do you really think having sex with someone is no different than putting on a play for an audience?

Look, this is not a religious issue. Even if I wasn't a Christian common sense and logic would tell me that getting naked and having sex with someone is a big deal and that I shouldn't rent or use my body or others to do this with someone who I don't know and don't love.
