Nike has always been edgy and has always done well
The prevailing view was that athletes are role models for children
Not according to Nike and Sir Charles

Nike may know a thing or two about the demographics of sneaker customers and how they view Kaepernick. They may have calculated correctly, but it's a big risk.
The mind hungers for that on which it feeds.

Nope
Even I don't buy Nike
Its kind of a status symbol like designer stores

Its pretty funny that conservatives are going bonkers over this.

Why do you think conservatives are going bonkers? Just because people you think are conservative reply to the Nike topic?

The first post about Nike was by ams, the second post about Nike was by you, the third post was by JimRockford, the fourth post was by you. In the sub-thread about Nike, you have the most posts and you say the "conservatives" are going bonkers?

Why do you even care about this? Do you buy a ton of Nikes's over priced gear?

I don't care about it, just replying in the thread. Is that okay with you?

You don't understand. To Ams and Tera,
just a rightie mentioning a topic is 'going
bonkers' in their world. Just for us to notice
something means we're 'going bonkers'
over it. I might find something funny,
or ironic, but the only thing I've been
bonkers about in the last 10 years
is Hillary not winning.

I don't get the outrage
I really doubt anybody on this board has a Nike shoe collection.
I'm a 1 pair of athletic shoes owner. I don't buy a pair till the old ones are worn out
If you don't buy Nike, why do conservatives care?
Conservatives are gong bonkers trying to vote in all the meaningless internet polls they can find
Take chick-a-fil
I don't eat there and could care less about them
They could name David Duke as their spokesman and I would just yawn

Why do libs care when something that does not pertain to them upsets them? Libs can't even handle words they do not like.

Nike's ad agency monkeyed things up. If I owned the stock or watched the NFL maybe I would care.

Want to make some easy scratch
Buy Nike stock while they are in this small dip
Its a very strong company, shares are up 50.6% this year.

Its a very unusual niche. Shoe collectors
But
These people spend serious cash
and
Nike spends millions on market research understanding their customer because there are billions at stake
Nike is not gambling, they are going with their market research

I have never bought Nike shoes.... until a few weeks ago. Needed new basketball sneakers and there is an 'outlet' store nearby, got 'last years model' for less than $50. I am not principled enough to throw them out, but I would not have bought them today if I was in need. There is an Adidas store in the same mall that likely would have gotten my business.

Terapined might be right though...... they may rebound among their 'base' at the expense of someone like me.

Ok but consider this
Adidas thought Colin was ripe for signing since Nike was not using him and his contract was about up.
Adidas actually had discussions with Colin
Nike had to resign Colin or lose him to Adidas or another shoe company
Adidas was willing to make the same bet, get more business and lose SOOPOO's business.
Hmm, their market research must tell them, make the bet

I have 2 Nike hats. I had a gift card at a sports clothing store, but I would normally not pay that much for ballcap style hats. They are nice hats though.

Remember when it took 60 Senators to
approve a new SC justice, and Harry Reid
got it knocked down to 51 so they could
get the two former Miss America's in?
And we all said, ok, but it WILL come
back to bite you on the ass some day.

Trump might get to appoint 4 justices,
all with 51 votes. What a dumbass move
on the Dems part. Even then, when Reid
did this years ago, they were absolutely
convinced Hillary would be president, so
it wouldn't matter.

The circus today was a total dog and pony
show, everybody knows Kavenaugh has
enough votes.
