Heard on a podcast that several government employee credit unions are offering 0 to 4% bridge loans for government employees, meaning even at the 4% they are paying what, $0.75 per $100 borrowed?

All they need to do is tell the Democrats to stop obstructing!

I think this is the main takeaway point. When the Repubs had both houses he could not get the funding he wanted but he clearly waited until the Dems had the House to force a shutdown. Had he done a shutdown while all 3 (House, Senate, Prez) were Republican the Prez would have looked even worse than he does now. Kind of he looked while trying to end the ACA...

Suppose that back in 2017 (or early/mid 2018) Trump had given an ultimatum to Paul Ryan & McConnell: "I won't sign any bills or appoint any conservative judges until my GOP friends in Congress scrape together $10 billion for a wall." Ryan/McConnell might complain in private about Trump's antics, but publicly they would obediently do as they were told and get it done ASAP. Instead, Trump inexplicably waited until Pelosi (!) was in charge.

Moreover, Trump has ignored the easy, obvious low hanging fruit of illegal immigration: 40% of undocumented workers arrive on airplanes and overstay their tourist visa. How come no one in the Trump White House has addressed this glaring loophole? Dems are constantly accused of supporting open borders, but the phenomenon is bipartisan.

Ocasio-Cortez is a looker and I hazard a guess has had the privilege of turning men into gibbering idiots for most of her adult life. I have little doubt she has been trotting out utter nonsense and yet can make it look convincing and credible because she has hardly ever been challenged on it.

Then suddenly when she enters Congress and her policies are examined by people on the Right, she thinks this is down to sexism. No. it’s not your sex we have a problem with; it’s the socialism.
