You're in the Supermarket and need to buy just one thing and intend to pay in cash. The shortest line is the express line, which clearly has a "10 items or less" rule. There are three people in line, the first two complying with the rule. The person at the end of this line has about 15 items. What do you do?

Get on line, hope that something young and female gets on line behind you and don't sweat the small stuff about people who can't count.

There's no option for a kidney punch?

First of all they should have a dividing bars that make the express lane too narrow for a full size cart. A full cart is worse than just a few items over.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

I would just get angry at myself for not having the confidence to talk to her.

In Vegas? Say nothing, you never know what's
waiting in the parking lot. The guys brother,
the woman's 300 pound nutso husband. It's
not worth getting your head busted over.

I bend the rule myself sometimes. If I bend it I bend it when:

1. I am just a few items over
2. There no or nearly no line on express
3. The other lines are packed

If stores want lines to move fast they need a "guys line." Men are three times as fast at the checkout. I was a cashier for a few years in school and there in no comparing it. Men are ready to pay as soon as the transaction ends, women half the time are almost surprised they have to pay, haven't even gone into their purse to get the cash until the cashier tells the total.

Back to express, I don't let it bother me as much as it used to. Calming down in middle age.

Absolutely correct. Men are faster shoppers,
no comparison. Men know what they want
and get it and leave. A woman will spend
an extra 20min wandering up and down the
aisles looking for nothing.

I had a woman take my cart by mistake last
week. When I finally found her 2 aisles over
she had 5 items on top of my items and
never noticed she had the wrong cart. This
was no old lady, she was maybe 40 and seemed
normal. How can not notice you didn't buy
sour cream and eggs and ground beef. I knew
immediately the cart she left wasn't mine.

Women's brains shut down when they enter
a store. It's like all the potential decisions
completely overwhelm them.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

I'm going to owe Barb some push-ups for this, but I agree.

Shame on you!

1. I never use express if I exceed the item limit, but for me if I have two-three of one thing, that is one item and will go over the "item" limit that way, only.
2. The problem with the guys line is that very few men actually shop, and I find that when it comes to unloading carts, both men and they generally go as fast or faster than the scan speed and are efficient there.
3. I agree that women, in generally, are quite slow in getting their payment ready.

I go to the store a lot and women are never
ready to pay. They act like it's the first time
they ever used a card scanner. They look
at their card and look at the scanner and
look at the card again. Then when they
sign the screen it's like they're signing
for an auto loan. They painstakingly write
out their entire name. I make a single
slash with a bump in it. That's my
store and check signature. You can have
different sig's, it's legal. Movie stars do,
anybody who signs autographs has to.

I refuse to go to the store with my wife.
I always end up wanting to strangle her.
"I just need to stop for 3 things" always
takes 45 minutes. I can't stand it.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.
