A quick Google said the average Americans spends about 500 USD a year on alcohol, so even looking at it as a couple (1K average for two people), its about 3X the average.

I'd be more focused on what set of values they were teaching the kid. That kid in Texas, for example, somebody was giving him a lot of money to spend Politics! Imagine any other activity where it is OK to openly obsess over race and ethnicity

Imagine any other activity where it is OK to openly obsess over race and ethnicity

Thanks a lot!! Before this I never realized I was a drunk. I was probably spending $100-$150 a week at a bar myself. We are all going to die, why procrastinate?
