Evenbob, have you lived in Las Vegas? I really think you missed on almost every point. Traffic in LV is not bad. Most locals rarely deal with tourists. Most homeless congregate in a very few small area near downtown. If you think the strip looks like the rest of the city, get your eyes checked. Too flat? I look outside and see mountains 360 degrees. I agree with Wizard, I doubt the crime is much worse than similar sized cities. Median housing prices in LV are lower than national averages. With all that in mind, I don't love Las Vegas and look forward to retiring away from here. Some people love the desert landscape but I think it is truly boring and ugly. I also miss all of the green and tree lined streets of many other places. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

Maybe if there were more long-term residents, you could roof the city over and terraform it ;) Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

Traffic sucks in Vegas compared to where I live. I would be playing every day if I lived in Vegas, that would be the point of living there. So I would be dealing with traffic and tourists every day. During the week in the middle of the day it takes me at least 20min to get to the MGM from DT. That same distance here takes under 10min. Quality of life sucks in Vegas if you have real Q of L to compare it to. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
