This plane landed safely, but half the passengers got sick from the turbulence.

I think it is pretty impressive what the engines can take and stay running.

That a380 that blew an engine and cut the wires to the outboard engine took in quite the volume of water, and possibly foam, to put out.

And there was a 747 which managed to restart its engines after injesting and melting volcanic ash.

Turbines are dastardly simple engines,
it takes a lot to stop them. Now, a 1960
Ford Fairlane V8, there was a complicated
engine.
