OMG, you nailed it. Sex is an opportunity to control, which is what religion is all about. All organized religion is about controlling the flock. And what better tool to use than sex. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Leonardo da Vinci Alexander Hamilton Lawrence of Arabia Eva Peron William the Conqueror Lucrezia Borgia ( illegitimate daughter of a pope} Jenny Lind Billy Holiday Marilyn Monroe Steve Jobs If you take a risk, you may lose. petroglyph Member since: Aug 3, 2014 Threads: 25 Posts: 6227 | It would appear, that were the xtian god real, that he is a sadist that created mammalian sex drive with hormones that rage through human bodies to keep the species continuing, only to put rules, parameters and controls on when the "authority" deems it proper to do so? And then excuse themselves from playing by the rules that the church would set upon everyone else. There has always been some sob, trying to set himself up at the head of the table. I completely support this pro-life post from Evenbob. He seems to have confused me with someone who is pro-abortion. “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

Wow, could you imagine if God didn't put rules, parameters, and give us an authority to challenge our animal nature. We are so much beyond and above animals it is somewhat ridiculous of you to make this argument. Do you think that it is always sadist to control our drives? What about our appetite? If I really like twinkies is it sadist for someone to tell me I shouldn't eat them for breakfast lunch and dinner? What about rage? Why should I control myself when I am angry, it would apparently be sadist for someone to try to calm me down and put away the gun. “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

It's pro casual sex list, sex outside of marriage that you abhor so much and is sooooo sinful and such a mortal insult to your god. Has not a thing to do with abortion. Without casual sex couplings we would have missed countless very important people and their offsprings offspring. Your silly religion should really think these things thrrough before they condemn something as a 'sin'. Just think, no DaVinci, no Sistine Chapel ceiling, just because his parents 'sinned'. He was the product of 'sin', how could he possibly have been who he became. Surely you see how terribly wrong and hurtful your awful religion is. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Not hard to imagine because it's what's happening now. It's your god that's imaginary, not the rules. Man made the rules and we choose to follow them or not. Those of us that can think for ourselves, that is. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

petroglyph Member since: Aug 3, 2014 Threads: 25 Posts: 6227 | Yeah, no problem. There have been thousands of gods thousands. And they all had some story, not unlike yours, with similar goals. Can you imagine a few thousand years ago adrift at sea in the dark in a hurricane, how hard the men prayed for Poseidon to save them? Can you imagine if a knowledgeable adult told young girls how reproduction works, the utility of sex, and made it clear that the man was probably not going to help in any way after coitus? It is a helpful and revealing way to understand why people are how they are. Assigning them some kind of mythical god created spirit, is revealing also. The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. GW |

You view of Catholicism and Christianity continues to frighten me. You really think I or any Catholic would condemn someone who was born out of wedlock and look at them as inferior or sinful in some way? How could you be so misguided and confused? Let me be clear: Catholicism teaches that every human being no matter how they were conceived is of infinite dignity and worth. It is really the people on this forum who support abortion you should be asking your question to. Everyone of them would have probably been aborted now a days. “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |
