One guy I know said how much better his life was after he quit the stuff.

Lots of stories like that. Buddy Hackett
was starting his comic career in the
late 40's and hung out with the band
after work every night and got stoned.
He thought he was doing great, until
he took a break from the dope and
realized his career was going nowhere.
He quit and never looked back.

Never trust what a stoner tells you, they
do not see reality clearly. Again, why
do they think it's called 'dope'.

2016 the voters in Florida passed medical marijuana. it was no contest. 71% for , 28% against
Florida republicans running Florida hate Marijuana.
They dragged their feet setting up the regulations
They arbitrarily decided that Marijuana will still remain illegal despite the voters approval
Yup, Marijuana remains illegal because republicans refuse to accept the voters decision on medical marijuana
What is legal is oils and concentrates. I can live with that.
Now that the market has matured a bit with dispensaries opening up around town
Decided to go for it
In the process of getting my card.

Step 1, see a special Marijuana DR. 200.00
I saw the Doc, got approved due to sleeping problems my primary DR has documented
Next step have primary DR send part of my medical history to the Marijuana DR
That's done
Marijuana DR enters my info into the Florida Marijuana Patient database
That's done
Got my acceptance email from Florida Marijuana patient database with a password
Will continue the process tonight.

Here in Michigan we are voting on whether or not to legalize marijuana this election. We already have medical marijuana.

The last polls I saw on the issue had the majority of people supporting the legalization proposal.

If Michigan does not legalize
They will be missing out on huge tax dollars that Canada will earn instead.
Its pretty obvious the times have changed and the republicans are left behind
The whole country supports gay marriage and legal pot.
Its the republicans that are fighting democracy in these areas.
sad

The law says anyone in Canada over the age of 18 is allowed to possess marijuana, provided it's less than 30 grams. Canadians can also grow up to four marijuana plants in their home and buy from a provincially regulated retailer. The government of Canada will oversee production and manufacturing of the drug. Provincial and municipal governments have control over wholesaling, and will also be able to set laws on public consumption. McLellan said the government's early estimates of use in the country of 36 million ranges from 650,000 to 900,000 tons on an annual basis. A report by Deloitte estimates the Canadian marijuana market will pass $7 billion by 2019.

$7 billion / 10 million buyers = $700 apiece per year

Could that be right?

Doesn't sound outlandish.

That's just under $60/month (CAD?) or about $2 a day.

According to the CDCP, the average cost for a pack of cigarettes is $6.28, so for a pack a day smoker that is $188/month, $2292 per year

Starbucks I guess starts at $1.85

Cool. So we’ll both be voting yes.

Each Province gets to set the age and most have set it at 19 but Alberta is 18 and Quebec looks like they are going to make it 21. As someone else has pointed out $700 is only $2 a day. One joint is selling for $4.50 in BC.

Last time I was in Vegas, I stocked up on concentrates to bring home
For the business, was given free joints as a gift due to my large purchase of concentrates
I cant take a joint on a plane due to smell
I would walk around till I found a street person and shared it with him
They were very appreciative, especially when I only took a couple of hits 1st then told street person they could have the rest.
