But here are the facts regarding Interstellar's profitability:

Christopher Nolan is an insanely successful film director. But while Inception and Interstellar did not make quite as much as the Dark Knight movies, they both did extremely well financially for a movie that is not part of a franchise or a sequel. They actually made more money than Batman Begins, which was really the 5th Batman movie.

Worldwide Over Produ. Ratio Year Title Studio
$1,084.90 58.7% $250 434% 2012 The Dark Knight Rises WB

In. Reading the reviews, people
walked out on the turkey in the middle of it
in droves. .

I saw this movie
It was a pretty good crowd
I did not notice a single person getting up and walking out

He will probably cite IMDB user reviews or something equally as nonsensical.

Read a couple hundred reviews like I did.
I bet you loved this piece of crap, can
you even tell a good movie from a bad one?

Here's your first clue: If they spend an hour
just talking about what they're going to do,
the movie is a dud. Imagine going to an
Indiana Jones film and they did that.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

I am sure that Christopher Nolan made this movie knowing full well that it would not be a massive blockbuster. I think he was probably reasonably happy with the financial performance. Long movies with a lot of sadness and almost no appeal to teens don't generally tear up the boxoffice.

What are the odds that Evenbob truly "read" a couple hundred reviews?

Oh, I know: 0.0000000000%.

If he want's to, he could read a couple hundred reviews here and see that it's certified fresh at Rotten Tomatoes.

I know there's trouble when I stop caring
about the main characters. That happened
about an hour in. Like one guy in a review
said, 'I realized I was hoping everybody in
this movie dies, so I got up and left.'

I know the feeling.

.

So the couple hundred reviews you read were unable to evaluate the ending because the couple hundred reviewers left in the middle?
So you are referring to reviews of only 1/2 of the movie?
So you actually read 1/2 movie reviews? lol
If somebody has only watched 1/2 of a movie, I wont read that person's review

Still looking for a reference from you where attendees left Insterstellar in droves during the middle?
