Think it was Quaaludes not Benadryl.

Is that still sexual assault? In today's world, hell ya. In 2004? Who knows?
In the UK they have this 'historical sex offenses' mania wherein a man's actions decades ago are judged according to today's laws. One man was found guilty of inappropriate contact with a child at an autograph signing at a neighborhood faire despite no one in the neighborhood remembering the faire having taken place, no ads or notices ever having been found, and the utter absurdity of there not having been any adults around as the children lined up in an orderly manner and patiently awaited their turn for an autograph. Some 'victims' filed compensation claims prior to filing a police report.

Voluntarily taking a qualude and being momentarily nonplussed until such time as the question is moot may have been what happened. I don't know. It was late at night, she had just had a private dinner with him in his home, I doubt she intended to discuss the categorical imperative with him or thought that he intended to discuss it.

Rape? I don't know. Given her age and prior experiences she was certainly able to go to the police promptly and to be totally honest with them from the start.

Was she both raped and unwise afterwards? Perhaps.

One woman alleged it was an open secret in the industry. So if you ran a modeling agency would you send an underage client to him if it was such an open secret in the industry. If so, you would be sued and you would know you would be sued. So was it really an open secret? Or was it imaginary?

He says, She says... He says Benedryl, she says qualudes but only based upon the prior deposition which related to qualludes. No showing he was in posession of qualudes at that time. Prior deposition testimony was part of a settlement agreement that his lawyers urged him to accept and his lawyers told him would be sealed forever, therefore he may have been agreeing upon financial advice given by his lawyers.

Judge finally declares mistrial. Prosecutor vows a re-trial. Retrial is lawful since there was no verdict.

One of Cosby's lawyers has sought court permission to withdraw.

His rape accuser was booked on a heroin possession charge based on an automobile search at a parking lot at a California detention center. Circumstances indicate prior police knowledge.

Prosecutor wants to call nineteen women who claim they were raped by Cosby at his retrial.

Prosecutor claims 'signature technique' makes testimony allowable and proves Cosby knew ability to consent was impaired,. Normally such testimony is not allowed and only goes to identity of the accused and is considered more prejudicial than probative,

Right. But if that defendant is strong, despite accusations of greed, and the nineteen other women are allowed to testify, he is toast.

Lynda Carter, the original Wonder Woman has hinted that she had looked into adding her own abuse allegations against Bill Cosby, but said, it won't add anything to what he's already facing. And I assume it won't be any stronger evidence than her word against his.
