Jennifer Lawrence makes fun of herself on David Letterman. She says she hasn't heard the song when she did the interview.

Of course, when she sings it is so emotional that some people say it is the high point of the movie.

I saw the movie. Her singing is pretty bad. It is not that she isn't emotional about it, but she has a, "back of the throat" kind of voice that falls apart when she yells, and can't be understood if she tries to whisper. Kind of like Brenda Vacarro (for those of a certain age).
