I went many years without a printer I work from home and my company considers me hooking up a printer to my work computer a severe security violation unless I go through all kind of hoops to get permission. It is nice to have a personal one. Was going to mailbox plus with a USB if I needed something printed personally Was in Costco a few months ago and they had a printer/scanner/copier for just 49 dollars Bought it. HP Office Jet 5255. Works great. What a price :-) Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

| Fleastiff Member since: Oct 27, 2012 Threads: 62 Posts: 7831 | was going to buy a usb-cable connected printer to actually use rather than have my non-functioning wireless printer keep taking up space. printer drivers are security weak points and often driver updates stay connected to a network that is thought to be air-gapped. |

Haven't had a printer in 15 years, I never use them. If I need something printed the library does it for 10 cents. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I use a wireless connection to my printer If I am not using it, it stays off If I am using it, I turn it on, print, turn it off Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

I currently have 1 but I run so many different pieces of software, screen gets crowded Was in our team group chat and associates surprised I only had 1 screen.
