Artificial intelligence has developed a treatment for an aggressive form of cancer in just 30 days and demonstrated it can predict a patient's survival rate using doctors' notes.

The breakthroughs were performed by separate systems, but show how the powerful technology's uses go far beyond the generation of images and text.

University of Toronto researchers worked with Insilico Medicine to develop potential treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) using an AI drug discovery platform called Pharma.

HCC is a form of liver cancer, but the AI discovered a previously unknown treatment pathway and designed a 'novel hit molecule' that could bind to that target.

The system, which can also predict survival rate, is the invention of scientists from the University of British Columbia and B.C. Cancer, who found the model is 80 percent accurate.

Nevada is slowly expanding 2 acres every year, from Tectonic forces, measured through 300 gps stations. It was only half the distance to Reno from Vegas 20 million years ago estimates say.

I probably made that drive 50 times. If I had lived 20 million years ago it would have only taken me 3.5 hours to drive it. LOL

I was really impressed by Reno when I visited
The casino area sucks. Rundown with desperation in the air.
But
The river area nearby is really beautiful with many fine dining restaurants. I really liked Reno.

I really like the city of Reno and it is the type of place I would like to live if it didn't get cold. My daughter went to school in Reno so between that and work I did for IGT and Bally Systems I spent quite a bit of time there.

over the last decade or two we were finding out they are discovering a lot of water in our solar system, everywhere, including on the moon and even on Mercury. I was imagining the water originated from comets mostly.

Quote: but get a load of this
The water appears to form when high-energy particles streaming from the sun the so-called solar wind strike ... molten droplets [generated by meteor impacts]. The solar wind contains hydrogen nuclei, which combine with oxygen in the droplets to produce water or hydroxyl ions. The water then becomes locked in the beads, but it can be released by heating the material.

by just heating these beads to lukewarm releases the water

the article cites an estimate that there are billions of gallons tons of water available

Eczema cases have risen sharply in industrialized countries since the 1970s. As such, experts are convinced that environmental factors are responsible for the increase. Chief of the Epithelial Research Unit in the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Laboratory of Clinical Immunology and Microbiology, Doctor Ian Myles, examined the air in areas where the condition was most prevalent.

Along with his research team, Doctor Myles studied toxins in the surrounding environment. Their findings uncovered high levels of toxins called diisocyanates and isocyanates. These chemicals are used to manufacture adhesives, flexible foam, carpets, and stretchy, weather-resistant fabric. While the finished products are not dangerous, the smog from these factories can cause eczema.

"We have solid data establishing that pollutants are very likely behind increasing cases of atopic dermatitis," Chief of the Epithelial Research Unit in the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Laboratory of Clinical Immunology and Microbiology, Doctor Ian Myles, said via NBC News. Exhaust fumes from everyday vehicles have also contributed to the ailment.

Although catalytic converters eliminate most of the harmful chemicals in gasoline, the process creates a byproduct called isocyanates, which may contribute to eczema outbreaks. This is evidenced by the timeline in which catalytic converters became mandatory in 1975. Around the same time, the United States experienced a rise in cases of the skin condition.

The study, published in Science Advances, also details further testing of diisocyanates and isocyanates. Using mice and bacterial cultures, scientists discovered that these chemicals affect the skin's microbiome. They force protective bacteria to stop producing moisturizing oils. And they activate skin receptors, which tell the brain to induce eczema symptoms like itching and inflammation.

Creationism isn't science because no science can resolve to a supernatural conclusion. Never been a supernatural conclusion in any field. It's correctly referred to as pseudoscience.
