Like parking lot tow videos you can just get hooked on watching the same result over and over. The bridge is now famous. It cannot be raised or the street lowered so trucks are supposed to go around. If you see a rental (Ryder, etc) go under and get caught be sure to laugh as the local rental firms inform the customer that the optional insurance will not cover them if they go under. Like the video states there would have had to have been a transition period where it held the status of a glorified protectorate as it culturally transitioned to being American. Men on the make would have drifted in and helped this process. What would "Mexican America" look like today had it been annexed? Law might be different as LA law is today (code law not common law base.) It could be "America's Quebec" with Spanish widely spoken. The average Mexican would probably be living far better off.
