over an hour long if they are compilations
or interviews or old shows. If an instructional
video can't do it in 5 min, I usually don't see

If I were the Watch Commander the only thing I might have said to the two officers is they should have more directly said that as the person in the car is an adult (legally at least) the matter is between them and the magistrate (or whatever the local term.) Unless she is an official lawyer and presented as such, it is improper and possibly illegal to discuss it with her.

The best way to piss off a cop is
to say "Do you know who I am?"
