one of these things that you can find out today, whereas back in the day, you'd go to your grave without knowing

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld a Biden administration effort to regulate “ghost gun” kits that allow people to easily obtain parts needed to assemble firearms from online sellers.

The decision by a court that often backs gun rights resolves the legal dispute over whether the kits can be regulated the same way as other firearms.

finally found this thread again

I was quite pleased to find someone agrees with me that the ammunition shortage of a few years ago was due to the Feds intentionally limiting it [see the short video]. Initially I put it down to the reaction that occurs when a new president is a gun control advocate, that is, people go out and buy and hoard ammunition. I think this hoarding does in fact occur. However, as time went on, I realized that something else was going on. You'd go into Walmart and find out the clerks were saying they were being told not to order but only so much else the Feds were going to take notice. The shelves were half empty all the time. If it is different today it has only changed recently. Small sporting goods stores would tell me they couldn't get ammo at all

Of course this protected no one as a motivated person could make sure he got what he needed eventually, and we can all testify the nuts continued on to do their dirty work, maybe even more motivated knowing what the Feds were up to

I was looking at the older posts and wondering what happened to the video someone was talking about

then I figured out we were using the old method where if you formatted it right, the video would pop up [still does at WoV]

you can hit 'quote' and try to find the video
