Porn allowed on X (Twitter)

You just can't post it without safeguards so people don't see it right away.

No idea what safeguards mean in this context, and have never used Twitter/X, but sure why not. I have no issue with it. If that is what the owner wants, so be it.

It's like the blank cover they used to put over skin magazines at 7/11. Only virtual. In other words, you can't access it without some sort of warning page would be one example. Only, I don't know in what manner they will implement it on X. I'm not on the platform either.

At least while the movement to ban certain books in school continues, people can just send the kids to Twitter. There they will see stuff that wasn't on school shelves even before the recent banning.

I am not big on banning books. But, I am sure Twitter has some kind of age requirment (18?), yes you can probably cheese it, but you can also cheese your age in any kind of adult store...

The only social media I ever used was Facebook (been off for some years now,) and even on that you had to send them a scan of your ID, and they would periodically ask for updated scans (I don't remeber what the actual age requirment was if it was 18 or not, I did not join until I turned 18.)

Ditto. I’m confused by the new rule since I’ve seen plenty of porn on Twitter even before it was X. And without any safeguards or warnings.

And I’m not talking about mere titty pics. There’s plenty of real, hard core porn video there. It’s just all too short to be, um, useful - if you know what I mean. 🤪

YouTube asked Viewers to press "Yes," when asked if they are at least 18 before being able to watch a VERY graphic "Adult," video. YouTube put up NO safeguards to make SURE that the Viewer was ACTUALLY at least 18. ANYONE could just press "Yes," and be able to watch the VERY graphic "Adult," video, including KIDS. Posters asked something like,"What's to stop an 8 year old from LYING and claiming they are at least 18 and being able to watch the VERY graphic "Adult," video? 😵‍💫💡🤔 YouTube after that requires Viewers to put their age into the sign up process IIRC, but even then, kids can lie and falsely claim an older birth year at sign up too like what happened when a 13 year old called Miss Cleo Psychic phone number in 1997 and falsely claimed he was born in 1972, (which would be 25) when asked his age. He said they kept him waiting for a long time and didn't actually give him a reading, so he came to his senses and hung up. He got in big trouble with his Mother for calling a psychic in the first place. 💡🤔 The point is, kids lie about their age and YouTube REALLY should have better protocols in place to prevent KIDS from seeing VERY graphic "Adult," videos. 💡🤭
