been thinking how amazing it is that thoroughbred horses can run so fast on those skinny legs - so much faster than a man

yes, they have 4 legs and men only have two - but a fast horse can do a mile in about 1:35 - a fast man in about 4:00 - they're way more than twice as fast as a man

thoroughbreds weigh on average about 1,000 pounds - I would guess their 4 legs weigh no more than 175 pounds total - those skinny little legs are somehow propelling all of that massive weight

a man weighing 170 pounds has 2 legs to propel him that I would think prolly weigh about 100 pounds total

much thought has gone into whether DM is composed of particles, wimps or machos ... comprehensible whether you think so or not

DE theory comes about due to the universe accelerating its expansion instead of slowing its expansion. Think about that, something is stepping on the accelerator! Incomprehensible almost. Theorists seem to be turning to quantum theory, the creation of empty space

and maybe more distressing. One idea is that DE is overcoming gravity now, and if increasing ultimately will overcome interatomic forces and matter will start flying apart
