I was stunned when I read this.

Think that fridge baking soda is killing odors? It is not. The trick came from a 1972 Arm & Hammer ad campaign designed to move product
stuck in millions of pantries.
Tipsbulletin

But then people in the comments said it actually does work.

classic faulty science is the knowledge that baking soda absorbs odor [don't know that, but easy to believe] and then the assumption just sticking an opened box would work on odors, without actual testing, if that is what happened. Perhaps it works but has minimal effect. An apparatus that would circulate the air over some might be necessary.

I've got a large jar or large plastic box. But I really need two identical containers, with the various food smelly substance but one with baking soda on the side. I'll post the results if I get around to testing it eventually. I think I can afford this science research.

I have to use food and not just any smelly substance as that's the claim.

Ah yes, I've always thought well of her: hopefully she'll throw her hat in the ring: I'd prefer her over Harris: less progressive, better speaker, more polished and believable.

When Harris talks she seems somewhat insincere and not talking from her heart, same as Trump.

I don't instantly reject the idea of her as Prez

The Left will instantly reject the idea of her as Prez however

Google AI concurs that an FDIC insured bank account is backed by 'the full faith and credit of the US government' as I see claimed now by my bank. That bot says it has done so from the beginning of the FDIC, which I question.

What I was led to believe before was that the FDIC is insurance just like other insurance in how it operates. While it may be a safe assumption the govt. will do whatever it takes to back it up, this was not 'in writing', while 'full faith and credit' was only for treasury bills as far as explicit such guarantee.

Asking the bot if this was a new change, again the bot says FDIC was always so guaranteed. If so why was I led to believe otherwise?

Who or what lead you to believe otherwise?

as I remember, it was a radio program on investing ... Ric Edelman possibly, and many years ago

as far as FDIC goes, I do believe it works like any insurance, but they are also 'the Feds' and can make a bank cut out bad behavior with Federal weight to it. Ultimately, full faith and credit is implied and for any imaginable scenario reliably there short of Armageddon, but I am not so sure that is spoken out in the rules.
