It was beyond disgusting. But, she is a pretty evil person, so I struggle to have sympathy for her. So, while I am against the death penalty, if anyone deserves it, she does. So, I am not going to stick my neck out for her. |

| missedhervee Member since: Apr 23, 2021 Threads: 180 Posts: 5908 | I only mentioned "let her go" based on a faded recollection of what may have been a tradition somewhere, at some time...the idea being if you tried to hang someone and failed then they'd be let go? Not sure if that was ever the case but the notion appeals to me...no matter how nefarious the individual is we need to draw the line some where. |

It probably violates cruel and unusual punishment to retry 3 time even though she probably isn't even capable now of knowing what's going on. If they marched someone out in front of firing squad twice and it failed twice, I'd say that's enough. Life sentence. I'd assume part punishment is days before and day of expecting to be executed and then going in knowing you're going to die. "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |
