Like I said... "Damn aging" ;) Be bold and risk defeat, or be cautious and encourage it. |

I used a Canon camera as opposed to my GoPro. I hope to post a proper blog entry about it tomorrow. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

Yes, it should be out tomorrow. Just waiting on my proofreader now. It will have extensive coverage of the Ward Maxfield accident. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

Congratulations on your summit climb! Sorry to hear the trip was marred by the accident. Never doubt a small group of concerned citizens can change the world; it's the only thing ever has |

| Wizard Administrator Member since: Oct 23, 2012 Threads: 241 Posts: 6108 | Just finished a five-day rafting trip of the Middle Fork of the Salmon River in Idaho. I posted three videos from the rapids. These were by no means the best rapids. Many I missed because I didn't turn on the GoPro properly (which is hard to do when it is strapped to your helmet over the noise of the river), I was in a middle position in the raft, or in a kayak and not wearing the GoPro. | Face Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 61 Posts: 3941 | Think they'd be pissed if I just sat in the back with a fishing pole? I mean, I paid admission... =) How was the kayak? Most of what I see looks sketchy, but I've never actually gone by me onesies. It seems I'm always showing someone (always a novice) a good time, so that type of stuff is something I don't dare hit with them in my craft. I've only ever been solo canoeing down stuff like that, and that's an entirely different bag of cats. Be bold and risk defeat, or be cautious and encourage it. |

| Wizard Administrator Member since: Oct 23, 2012 Threads: 241 Posts: 6108 | I saw lots of people fishing from rafts in the calmer sections. The kayak was inflatable and they referred to it as a "duckie." I was very surprised they let us ride the kayaks in some pretty rough water. Up to class 4 rapids. I fell out twice. In the second of those times I was in a difficult rapid and swallowed some water. That is the reason I think I got sick a couple days later and am still fighting that. It is a story I still am not sure I want to tell. I wonder if maybe I really died and am just living in a Sixth Sense kind of denial right now. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |
