All the top 10 are outright animated or so heavily CGI influenced Top 10 movies worldwide (so far) in 2016 1 Captain America: Civil War 2 Finding Dory animated 3 Zootopia animated 4 The Jungle Book (2016) animated 5 The Secret Life of Pets animated 6 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 7 Deadpool 8 Suicide Squad 9 Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them 10 Doctor Strange Top 10 movies worldwide in 1991 1 Terminator 2: Judgment Day 2 Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves 3 Beauty and the Beast animated 4 Hook 5 The Silence of the Lambs 6 JFK 7 The Addams Family 8 Cape Fear 9 Hot Shots! 10 City Slickers |

I think the writing in animations may benefit from the longer process in constructing the film scene by scene (or frame by frame) "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |

| Pacomartin Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 1068 Posts: 12569 | Even the #1 movie of 1991 , "Terminator 2: Judgment Day " was extremely well written despite being the poster child for the newest special effects. So even 25 years later you can still watch the movie again, even though the CG images have long since been surpassed. I kind of feel that way about King Kong. It is still compelling despite the archaic F/X.  |

still scary? lol you livin' in the past. Like people who think Citizen Kane is still the best movie of all time just because it was considered the best movie when you were a child. |

Yeah, it's called Star Wars Episode IV - A New Hope. Massive Rogue One spoilers: Every good guy dies at the end, so I don't see a sequel happening. The ending of Rogue One curtails into the beginning of A New Hope quite nicely... “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |
