Try reading the book. I dare you not to develop a strong wish to kill the author during the golf scene. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

Well golf is a diabolical game. Imagine playing billards, and you have to swing your cue stick in a big arc to hit the ball, and they put the target hundreds of feet away, and plant a bunch trees which jump out and get in the way (well that's what happens when I play). It's a special kind of tree. I've had a golf ball stuck in a tree in fact. "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |

I don't need to imagine. Golf is both heaven and hell for me. I love everything about the game except for the fact that I am absolutely terrible at it. I know everybody says that but if you go by the strict rules of golf, my handicap would be about 100, and that is not an exaggeration. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

I would put my handicap slightly below yours only because I don't know all of the rules that I am breaking. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

The whole point of golf it to get better at it, no matter how good your play. You sound like a bit of a perfectionist. Every one of those I've played with is a club thrower, they get so angry they throw their clubs all over the course. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I would be a great player if it weren't for a hole or two where the ball keeps going back and forth across the green too many times. Hitting a par or bogey most of the time is not that hard. But sooner or later in 18 holes there is a disaster hole or two. "Trumpsplain (def.) explaining absolute nonsense said by TRUMP. |

I thought Caddyshack was about 1000x better than Tin Cup. ![]() VS. dalai lama caddyshack |

The story picks up after the last movie ended, and I had a hard time recalling who's who, and what folks were referring to. If you haven't seen any of the prior movies, or read the books, skip this film for now. It doesn't stand by itself. Although it was the tail end of opening weekend, the theatre was pretty empty. Not a good sign. I would give it 4 Districts out of 13. The movie is made up of long dramatic monologues/dialogues interspersed with "Alien 2" style shootouts. Donald Sutherland does the best acting job of the bunch, but his role is very small. I haven't read any of the books, but have seen the prior movies. The story in this one is a mess. The character's motivations are not clear, and I found myself wondering if the film was made for those who read the book, and already understand why the characters are doing what they are doing. The biggest example of the problems with this film is the climax of the story where one character surprises everyone by assassinating another character. The lead up to this event was thin, and the character's decision to move forward with this monumental action was not explored in the film. As a result, it comes off as pretty lame. According to my wife, who has read all the books, there are massive chunks of the story missing, and the main character is played very differently than the portrayal in the book (which is psychologically much darker.) |

I had a few quibbles with some of the chosen emotional reactions to some of the events. Seemed the opposite of what I would expect.
