I didn't make it up, I read it many places.

true, the priests did keep exacting notes
and they still exist to be studied.

Qua Yin the Goddess of Household Arts has all those hands to be kept working at keeping a man's home clean. That is just about the only wisdom to be dispensed by or too a female. I believe one Jewish prayer starts out giving thanks that God did not make the person praying a female.

I guess Frg has deserted us. No comments on all
the posts we made while he was gone. I wonder
if somebody in authority told him in Rome to stop
trying to wise up atheists. I know when I was trying
to be a Christian they told us to only have fellowship
with other Christians if at all possible.

Show on called Secrets of the Bible. Tonight
it was about Jesus. Keep FrG away from this,
all these PhD scholars pretty much showed
why Jesus can't be most of the things they
claim him to be. It's a religion built and
embellished by the followers of Jesus after
he died. They borrowed and embellished
to make him a big deal, so even more people
would come to their side.

The PhD's were methodical and pragmatic,
using the NT and the Gnostic Gospels to
paint a realistic picture of who Jesus really
was and really wasn't. In order for the religion
to work, you have to buy one giant whopper
after another, and throw your reason out
the window.

The nuns pension funds are hurting.

Oh for the days when an average English farm laborer made six pence a day and the fine for failing to attend Church services twice a week was fifty pounds. That sure got them members.

Nowadays they got to enslave the newcomers without aid of the courts or prisons.

Must be a real let down for those in power.

because of the retirement benefits. They

They take care of you only if the particular order you join keeps getting young converts to do the caring.

There lies the problem, they just aren't
joining anymore. They Church is unwilling
to bend, they are their own worst enemy.

Matthew 13:55-56 "Is not this the carpenter's son?
is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren,

And his sisters, are they not all with us?"

So Mary wasn't a virgin all her life, why say
she was. You can't parse this any other way,
but I bet you'll try.
