Herbie or Hermey?

| Ayecarumba Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 89 Posts: 1744 | The elf from the 1964 TV special, "Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer" is referred to as both, "Herbie" and "Hermey". I came across a commemorative stamp marking the 50th anniversary of the show. The post office, appears to have settled on "Hermey". But I think "Herbie" is more fun.  |

That was my initial thought too, but the first Herbie / Love Bug movie came out in 1968, four years after Rudolph debuted on TV. |
