I kind of feel that way about HBO, but I never got into their flagship series, Game of Thrones. |

It was good for new releases, and for things not available on Netflix streaming, but because of how infrequently we have been using it, we would be better off renting from any number of those a-la-carte streaming rental services. Dude I worked with hooked up my firestick. So much to watch you cannot even choose. Quality occasionally lapses, but for someone who remembers how it was BC that is worth it. The way I figure it I have saved around $5,000 since I bought this house by not having cable. I look at that and what I have made side-hustling and we are talking the money I needed to buy the investment property! No wonder so much of America is so broke. No wonder I used to be 15 years ago! I switch from streaming service to streaming service I was on Netflix a year ago I ended Netflix and signed up for Hulu to binge on the Handmaids tale and other stuff I ended that service and signed up for Amazon to binge on Goliath and Bosch and Game of thrones Back on Netflix, been a year and got a free month again I would never stay on 1 service. Each service has really good exclusive content Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

Evenbob Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 146 Posts: 25011 | Finally got around to watching Hawaii 5-0. Thought it might be good, it's going into it's 9th season. I made it through 3 episodes. So far it's one of the worst series I've seen. The acting is not just bad, it's laughable. It's like none of the characters have ever acted before. They're wooden and seem like cardboard cutouts mouthing their lines. The worst is an Oriental women who looks anorexic and has the same expression on her face in every scene. She weighs 90 pounds tops, yet beats the crap out of 200 pound guys. The two male leads mostly argue with each other like frat boys. I's not even funny, it's tiring and boring. Does this show get better? I had a bad opinion of NCIS and that got way better, I've seen season 1-10 twice now. God, this show is bad.. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

It is one of the fundamental weaknesses of streaming libraries. Since nothing ever goes away you can just rotate through them and catch up on your favorite show. I think product placement is going to become ever more irritating part of television shows. Netflix's latest high profile film seems like a Royal Caribbean infomercial. |

It's a CBS procedural that airs on Friday nights. Of course it's horrible. Its key demo is senior citizens who have passed out in their recliners in front of the TV. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Dalex64 Member since: Mar 8, 2014 Threads: 3 Posts: 3687 | I was about to give a not-positive review for the new Matt Groening Netflix Series "Disenchantment" However, I was googling the internets for the name of the series when I saw a review that said things get much better at episode 8, and I've only watched 7 episodes so far. So, here is my take on the first seven episodes: Nothing special. It isn't terribly funny, it isn't terribly crude, it is predictable, a bit repetitive. What's good about it? It has a lot of the Futurama voice actors. I might even call it a Futurama in a Medieval setting. Sort of a Medievalrama. It has a couple of voices from the British series "The IT Crowd" I reached my "nothing special" impression after just a couple of episodes, but I've been watching more because it isn't awful, and I'm a bit of a completionist when it comes to these short series, especially on the first season.
