Ho Chi Minh City is not a sex tourism city like Bangkok or Pattaya. It's a conservative city, and prostitution is illegal and a serious crime. All casino games in the city are ‘electronic’ versions – table games with real croupiers are strictly outlawed in Saigon. There is one exception to this, the Grand Ho Tram Strip which is outside of Ho Chi Minh City and is purpose-built for Asian and Western players used to playing in Las Vegas and Macau .You can only gamble in US Dollars– the exchange rates you’ll get from Vietnamese Dong to USD are varied at best. Minimum bets start from 5 cents for slots and $10 for blackjack. What would it take to make you want to vacation in Vietnam? |

Money for a ticket? That's pretty much it. Looks to be a beautiful country. I'd totally do the Top Gear run of the length of it on mopeds / street bikes. Be bold and risk defeat, or be cautious and encourage it. |

Combine it with a business trip I send people to Viet Nam, its kind or rare, but happens once in a while for me The city name may have changed but it still uses SGN for an airport code Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

Also, are there limits on the amount of currency that can be brought into the country? Suppose Whale or a junket operator wants to bring in, or take out, a couple of suitcases with $5 million USD? Would the local government be okay with that? Are there a number of different casinos, or other touristy things in this area? If not, I think most gamblers traveling to the area would stick with Macau. Singapore is also a very strict city, but has found success with their casino. However, the entire city/state is generally of the same mind. Ho Chi Min city is very different than Vietnam as a whole. It will be interesting to see how their growing tourism industry transforms the capital and the country. |

USD still the world reserve. I have heard that even with the war, some in Vietnam still have a soft spot for things American as well. The President is a fink. |
