Iran and The Bomb

The West (except France), and concerned parties in the Middle East have been working hard to keep Iran from enriching uranium in quantities large enough to weaponize. However, there is general agreement that all this effort and expense is only delaying the inevitable. I propose that we switch positions and provide reactors that will allow them to generate all the electricity they desire. The only caveat is that they must purchase the spare parts from us, and safely dispose of their own waste.

Why not have the world dependent on us for energy? I think it would be a good way to ensure friendly relations.
