Watch, The Host, on Netflix right now. It is a 2006 monster movie set in Seoul about a mutant monster in the Han River. The new movie will be called, Okja, from Snowpiercer director Bong Joon-ho.

In Q1 2016 earnings report Netflix beat its own estimates by growing to 81.5 million customers worldwide (with nearly 47 million of them in the US), while releasing a new original series or film every week. Expect more of those films too, as Reed Hastings confirmed Netflix will release Bright in 2017 starring Will Smith, after debuts this year that include Brad Pitt's War Machine and Mascots with Christopher Guest. The company "will invest 5 percent of our cash budget in original films".

I just watched 2nd season of Frankie and Grace.
Excellent. The 2nd season of Bloodline next
week. The first season has been called the best
stand alone drama series ever on TV. By stand
alone, he means the whole story was told is
one season, no cliffhangers. I'm watching it
for the 3rd time right now, it's that good.
It's like a Tennesee Williams story on steroids.
The way it unfolds is amazing. The 2nd season
can't be as good as the first.

Watched the first 30 min of Bright, felt like
2 hours. Slow, confusing, no back story
on why there are orcs and elves running
everything. I could care less about any
of the characters after 30 min, why go
on. The dialog was painful.

It's like ultra violence is OK if it is set in some kind of fantasy world. There is no need to develop a coherent story line as you can get away with one liners like "fairy lives don't matter".

Lucy Fry is pretty cute.

The storyline is copied from when they
started pairing black and white cops
as partners in the 60's. After 30 min
I was totally bored and disinterested.
And the sound in some of the scenes
was off, I realized I was straining
to hear the dialog sometimes. Not
that it was worth hearing.

Will Smith is looking older, he's getting
a puffy face that a lot of older black
men get. Even he isn't any good in
this and I usually like him.

Will Smith is looking older,

James Avery who played "Uncle Phil" was age 44 when he started filming the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" in 1990. Will Smith was age 21

Now Will Smith is age 49 and he recently tweeted a photo of him bungee jumping. Of course, he looks like Uncle Phil.
