Futurama game

Does anyone know if there is an issue with the Futurama mobile game?

I like it (hell, I love it). Not so much for the gameplay, though it's good enough, but for the comic strip cut scenes, the Twitter parody, and the story arc (such as it is), complete with 3-D rendered map scenes replete with Groening's patented background sign jokes (ie "Ask about out high-pressure sales tactics.")

Lately, though, one can't advance further within a level series. Instead you get a "helpful" countdown as to how much time is left before the next level is "available," and the levels have a stylized timer icon instead of a level number.

The first time this happened, I assumed an update would be required. But the timer ran out and the levels were there without me having to update the game. Then there was an update on Friday, and by Sunday I was looking at another countdown, this time for two days.

It gets a bit frustrating.

I'm on the last series, so it may be I'm getting delayed so I wont' end the game to soon (though I assume if the game is making money, there'll be new levels eventually).
