Hawker Beechcraft B40

What is a Hawker Beechcraft B40 aircraft? Is that a jet or a piston driven turbo?

It was widely reported that that was the model aircraft that had both engines fail while carry Jennifer Lawrence.

I think they meant a Hawker 400.

Plane lost one engine at 31,000 feet and pilot opted for a landing at Buffalo, NY, sometime during the approach to Buffalo the second engine quit also.

Fuel contamination?

No reports of what engine troubles were indicated in the cockpit.

Plane is reported as owned by her but most stars even if they own the plane do it thru their own leasing company. Plane probably based at her hometown of Knoxville, TN which is where flight originated, so I would assume fuel tanks at Knoxville have been sampled already. No additional reports of trouble from any other planes leaving Knoxville though.

It was an air charter, not 'her private plane'. It was bound for Teterboro, NJ .
There were earlier FAA advisories for this plane a decade ago.

Plane had been on several short hop flights of an hour or so and may have taken on fuel at other airports as well as Knoxville.

No reports of pilot reducing power and no reports of whether anti icing had been activated prior to any such power reduction.

Several incidents have taken place at or about that altitude involving ingestion of ice when flying near storms.

I can not think of why the second engine would fail at a lower altitude. No reports of any attempt to restart once a lower altitude had been reached.

As rural mountain folk the dialog was not particularly rich, there were very few wardrobe changes . Set dressing was pretty good: old junk, much of it battered and useless. Situation was 72 hours for 17 year old girl to either produce her father in court or produce his corpse to prevent their house from being seized by the sheriff persuant to the bail bond. This was all in a world where its all kin folk and people don't hold much truck with the law or with anyone hunting the woods for a man that doesn't want to be found.
