Snorkling with emergency air tank

Just to be clear there are two products with the similar names, the SNORKL and the SCORKL. The mask is legal in the USA. The other system is a "spare air" type system being marketed in Australia as a device for recreational fun.

There is nothing wrong with the device or for a certified diver to using it for 57 breaths of air at the surface for repairing a problem with the boat propellers. My only concern is being marketed as a device that requires no training. You are still breathing in air compressed at 3000 psi, and you can rupture your lungs if you don't know what you are doing. If you have a head cold you could rupture your ear drums in only 10 meters of water using compressed air.

It's too bad law firms aren't publicly traded, isn't it?

ON the other hand, it keeps one from benefiting from other people's suffering.

So now we just need to combine the two so that you have air to breath while you move for 10 minute sprints.

Of course, if the jet pack misfires and you go deep instead horizontal you could ruputure you eardrums or a lung.


A friend of mine said he went SCUBA diving without any training. When his companion told him that he had to "equalize" he didn't want to sound stupid so he said it would be no problem. He went down and started frantically signalling within 20' of depth. He had no idea what "equalize" meant, and the pressure on his eardrums was intense.

The countdown narration in the video is either a close imitation or swiped from somewhere. It sounds like the narrator from the Batman TV series.
