Banning Meth and Heroin has done so much to stop drug issues!

I think U Haul trucks should be banned because

Because they were used in an attack. EB forgot, a Ryder truck was used in the first WTC attack, need to ban those too, just in case.

There's a difference between banning an object which has common utility in countless human activities vs.. one that has much less.

That's the reason you can ban easy access to dynamite, but not acetone/peroxide bombs..

Self-defense is great utility.

You don't want to own a gun, fine. Why should law abiding citizens not be allowed to defend themselves.

As a suggestion and not a demand, perhaps let's take any gun debate into a gun thread. This issue encompasses much more than a single tool, and the cancer AZD often refers to that's infecting society will use knives, trucks, airplanes, minivans and Jeep Cherokees just as easily. I think this thread would be better served focusing on this latter topic, as well as the upcoming reactions and fallout, rather than a debate that kind of already has a place for it to exist.
