Altered Carbon hyper violence

Altered Carbon on Netflix is one of those rare comic book films where the six women get equal time with the men. The violence is way over the top, but the victims are almost in equal measure men and women. The big star is still a man, but the women are a big part of the story.




I have to admit I did watch it to the end, as I was sucked into the complex story. Normally, I don't watch shows that depict torture. The hyper violence is very disturbing especially since we are reminded that a teenager can commit mass murder in real life. Nudity is plentiful, but like Westworld it is stark and unrelenting.
