odiousgambit Member since: Oct 28, 2012 Threads: 154 Posts: 5111 | Tellurium improves the machinability of copper and stainless steel, and its addition to lead decreases the corrosive action of sulfuric acid on lead and improves its strength and hardness. Tellurium is used as a basic ingredient in blasting caps, and is added to cast iron for chill control. I doubted machinability was a word but it is. The term machinability refers to the ease with which a metal can be cut (machined) permitting the removal of the material with a satisfactory finish at low cost. There are people who having read this once would be able to give all details in full on Jeopardy! This is my way of saying I'm in. I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me] |

OnceDear Member since: Nov 21, 2017 Threads: 11 Posts: 1510 | Obstacles, obstacles. All you can see are bloody obstacles. I've already invested all my funds by booking every hotel room within a 200 mile radius. By the time I'm that age, I'll be rich as Cresus. Meanwhile, can you spare me the price of a bowl of gruel? I'm a bit strapped for cash right now. But just you wait. In another few years I'll pay you back with interest. Hah... I think I see a flaw to my cunning plan. Drat. |

Speaking of obstacles, knowing England, all we'll see for our efforts is a bunch of clouds. I might add the oldest verified person was 122, according to Wikipedia, but what's three years? Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |
