Has this book study ground to a halt? I haven't heard from anyone besides Bob in awhile. There is lots of good stuff to discuss.

I was just directed to this thread but I am not aware of the book being discussed.

My point, when being directed here, was that there is no right or wrong. There is only personal belief.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent.

Pretty much. That's why in society
we all need to have our personal
beliefs on right and wrong be
the same, and make laws for those
who disagree. For instance, we agree
that robbing a bank is wrong and we
need a law for those that think
otherwise.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

the contrarian would say that you have no right to lock me up just because we disagree on whether robbing a bank is right or wrong. Just because the majority agree on something doesn't make it right.

I think just a firm respect of personal property will take care of it.

You need agreement of everybody
for a society to work. The rules are
grease for the wheels is all.
