They are very bad for you. Stick
to fats and starch and sugar, that's
the ticket. And lots of salt.

That is exactly my diet. I eat what is cheap, easy, and tastes good to me. I know that I am going to die, so why eat healthy? If eating certain things would make me immortal, I would consider it but probably still wouldn't do it.

It's a known fact that the
bingers, the gluttons, the
greedy and the unhealthy,
are far more happy than
those that make an effort
to eat right and take care
of themselves. How many
times have you been in the
hospital, I forget. You are
walking proof that your
lifestyle makes people
rich. Doctors rich, anyway.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

I eat healthy because it tastes good
I grew up on Chinese cooked vegetables.
Love the taste of my veggies. It's just an added plus that they are healthy.
I like crisp lettuce on a burger because it adds to the taste and I love the crunchy texture.
I pretty much eat for taste, luckily for me a lot that is tasty is also healthy

I don't know how many times that I have been in the hospital. I have had 23 or 24 surgeries and that doesn't count the heart attack or procedures like angiograms. I support capitalism and don't mind if doctors make money off of me.

It all depends what you want out of life. Do you want a short exciting life of fun and doing what you want, or do you prefer a long and boring life worrying about when you are going to die.

What a silly question! To imply that you can’t have excitement safely is just plain stupid. As far as diet.... EB has posted pictures of the healthy meals he makes for himself, and most look delicious. I want both. Safety (relative) and excitement. I’ve had both!

It all depends on your definition of excitement. Those who live on the edge doing extreme adrenaline sports obviously put life style ahead of length of life. DRrich puts the bar much lower for what he is willing to give up to extend his life. The decision is the same for everyone we all just draw the line in different spots. I have made many poor life style choices over the years but many more good choices. The fact that I am still alive and likely the oldest person on the forum is more luck than anything else.

I only want to taste the meat and cheese, everything else covers it up.

I feel this way about good steak, but not other meat. (Minus the cheese.)

I agree you don't put steak sauce on a good steak, you put it on a crappy one. A good burger needs nothing on it.
