SOME of our prudes and prudish police try to make it seem illegal to be naked, here. But it isn't... Not unless a complainant can prove it was done with an intention to cause to harm or offend.

We need MORE freedom fighters prepared to bare all.

Fact is, that if I walked around my own back or front garden naked, even in view of my neighbours or strangers on the street, no-one would bat an eyelid. They might chuckle as they say hello. Usually do :o) They would not call the police and if they did, the police would not come. If I walked through town naked, some prude would complain and as an individual, I might be in trouble. Not at all likely to be arrested.

So walking around with a stiffy or poking your knob through a school playground fence would be a problem.

We have a tradition here of having a few rather loopy naked bikers or naked ramblers, who do it in protest and get mixed reactions from the police. Some get arrested and jailed for 'anti-social behaviour' or 'offending public decency'. But the simple act of being naked in public is not an offence in its own right.

I am an old guy, no one wants to see me naked.

I remember the first time I went to Orient Beach in St Martin. A section of the beach is set aside for nudists, the whole beach is European style where tops are optional. A walk down the beach near the nudists just reinforced that I had no interest. Mainly people 50 years and older naked. Absolutely nothing sexy about it. I am all for people being naked as long as it is in designated places so I dont have to see it.

Yes. 50+ are the most likely to be nudists. Interesting. First response about nudity and, no offence, it got a mention of what is or isn't sexy or attractive.

What of their freedoms? If they were attractive would you be more tolerant? Not taking a view, just trying to understand your stance

To me, it's not about how people look, it's about their freedom to catch the sun on their bodies and enjoy the breeze. The sort of nudists that I have seen were not doing it to show their great bodies. Just letting it all hang out, free from clothes.. $:o)

Let's add breast feeding into the mix? What is the US perception of breast feeding? Is it 'embarrassing' or inappropriate in public? Should mums take baby into a rest room or private area to feed? Or, sit in the restaurant with the rest of the family dining away together and just flop one out so Baby could join the feast. Hint. My nieces kids never had to dine out in a toilet.

The standards of appropriate wear really aren't set in stone. But people have drawn lines everywhere with claims that an extra inch of dress height is indecent for instance. They fight over an inch above the knee or below.

I've gotten so used to seeing women in thongs, I don't think anything of it, yet, I can remember a time a woman in a thong probably would have got arrested.

True indeed. Sexy is the bit we cannot see but might catch a glimpse of. Thus not much sexy about the average naked human. Looking like "a condom filled with baked beans" or "a hairy bag of spanners" or an "ugly bag of mostly water"

Yes, you hit the nail on the head. All people that I find unattractive should be required to be out of my gaze while nude. I should be sole judge of who is unattractive. I have no issues with any nude people as long as I don't have to view them.

I’m 60 and I look great naked. Just a shame no one gets to see except Mrs Rockford and she has become so accustom that she is immune to my charm.
