Brave New Ads Fight DVR

I noticed a development with Dish, with which I have DVR service. I am a bigtime user of that service, my constant practice being to watch almost nothing without recording it first ... those times I try TV live, I usually wind up kicking myself for it.

Turns out there's something afoot to foil this practice, I had to google it to see if others are noticing it. Including the new development, near inability to get out of the ad! It's possible, but they are clearly working on that!

This has been implemented on many DVR services.

Ditch cable.

Satellite in this case. I do wonder if buying the DVR device instead of the service would have been the way to go
