The watchdog group Congressional Integrity Project is calling on Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., to release copies of his tax returns from the last 10 years.

A letter sent by the group to Comer accuses the Kentucky representative of misconstruing transactions between President Joe Biden and family members amid the House Oversight Committee's investigation of the Biden family.

"You've only released tax returns for two years," the letter reads. "President Biden, on the other hand, has released 25 years of tax returns. Unsatisfied with this unprecedented level of access to a president’s financial records, you’ve used your power to dig into his family members’ finances."

As chair of the House Oversight Committee, Comer has led House Republicans' effort to investigate the president and his family, who he claims have "sold access for profit."

The Congressional Integrity Project also accused Comer of enriching himself by co-sponsoring a bill that benefitted his brother and reversing his position on gambling after receiving a donation from Churchill Downs, the owner of the Kentucky Derby racetrack.

You know, there's a pretty good chance several people in the House or Senate might not want anyone looking at how family members or close relatives have benefited from them being in office.

FBI informant at heart of GOP's Biden bribery allegations indicted over false statements

The confidential source at the center of allegations being promoted by House Republicans that President Biden accepted a bribe has been arrested and charged with making false statements to the FBI.
The allegations risk unwinding the House GOP probe into President Biden. In making their case, GOP lawmakers have frequently pointed to conversations the confidential source, Alexander Smirnov, had with the FBI relaying that the head of Ukrainian energy company Burisma told him he had paid both President Biden and his son Hunter Biden $5 million.
The indictment alleges Smirnov made up the allegations given his opposition to President Biden’s candidacy.
“As alleged in the indictment, the events that Smirnov first reported to the FBI Agent in June 2020 were fabrications,” the Justice Department wrote in a press release announcing the grand jury indictment.

Didn't take long to hear a "two tiered" justice claim from the right. Why didn't Christopher Steele get indicted like this guy. My guess is there's a difference between proving someone who is saying he was there when something was done, vs proving someone is lying about anonymous sources which is what Steele claimed.

I don't know if that's it, but that's my guess.

Couldn’t indict Steele owing to the fact that the pee tape is real.
