Flag Burning

| DRich Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 51 Posts: 4969 | I was recently out having drinks with some friends and on the news they show someone in New York burning the American flag. My friends were outrage calling the person un-American. Idiots. I tried explaining to them that there was nothing more American than being able to burn the flag. They just couldn't understand. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

Only things you might be charged with are secondary things, like you burn someone's flag you don' own, or burn a museum object or arson, disorderly conduct, depending on the laws of the area you're in. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

This is pretty darn accurate. You can stand for the Constitution and the right to burn a flag as part of "Free Speech" but no where in the Constitution does it say that you can't absolutely despise people that burn the flag. |
