I imagine it was, although it may be that the guards saw him messing with his sheets and did nothing. There was something there to hang the sheet from? That seems preventable too. I think it was an "encouraged suicide." The guards may have suggested he might be let out at the same time as the dangerous guys by "mistake" one day. Or another con might have walked by and said so. Or something more subtle. I still remember how a former CO told me about the molester convict on the wing. He said, "we kept him safe in his cell and fed him 2 or three times a week just like clockwork." Don't underestimate jail house justice. The President is a fink. |
