Sealand has been discussed a long time back. I thought about getting an ID card from there for purposes of promotions not open to non-locals. However, I think most people would think it was a souvenir from an amusement park.

Project Utopia is an updated Sealand. I am still a little confused about the legal status of such a structure. If it was 12 miles from Los angeles and the islands it would still be inside the Exclusive Economic Zone. If you lived there, would you be exempt from taxes?

Sealand is only 6 nm from the UK, so since the territorial waters are now 12 nm I don't think it is exempt.

I think a bribe is the last working means for living free of taxes.
