Islands where foxes fly

We used to do operations near the Bonin islands off Tokyo. Islands that were not part of a larger land mass sometime in the last few million years always have interesting wildlife. One colleague described it as "things that normally crawl, fly, and things that normally fly, creep. Things that are usually small end up huge, and normally huge things end up tiny". So you get giant lizards, and tiny horses, or flying foxes, etc.
