Thoughts on Free Speech Zones

I can understand banning amplifiers and megaphones, I can understand banning notices being placed on door ways ... and I think we all recall that scene from that Airplane Movie where the guy is running the gauntlet of beggars at the airport, but lets face it legally a university can adopt rules just the way a shopping center can. The rules don't have to be as permissive as some might want.

Rape accusations on campuses are investigated according to "preponderance of the evidence" even though a defendant at trial in a criminal court would be tried to a much higher standard of "beyond a reasonable doubt".

Some students want a peaceful campus and quiet contemplation they just don't want to hear about Global Whales Being Warmed By Fracking Tobacco Interests.
