Warning! If you click this link, then you will accomplish nothing productive for days.

I finally made it to the 4096 tile, which I think is a good stopping point, for now.

Make liberal use of the save/load game feature.

Not clicking, I have too much to do now.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

xkcd: Digits

It's taken me 20 years to get over skyline tetris.

I played this for a while after that comic. Never was very good at it. I play it here.

Besides the hint I gave above, here is another one.

Layer the tiles with the big ones on one side and moving towards the small ones on the other. Let's say that you put the big tiles on the bottom. Then you should be mostly be going left and right and sometimes down. Never go up, as that may place small tiles under the big ones, wasting space.

I don't get it. How does this help me get past the Candy Crush level I'm currently stuck on?

New high score of 59,592.

However, it is obviously not going to get much better. That 2 in the lower right cell is ruining the whole set up. I had to sacrifice position to make the 4096 tile, and couldn't recover from it.

Somebody put a bullet in my head if I play this game again.

I just found this video:

Interesting how he puts the big tiles in a corner, as opposed to the bottom like I was doing.

Maybe I should try that.

I run the biggest tile into the bottom right corner. Using right/down in alaternative succession quickly automatically gets stuff filled in. When this stops, I slide up, but keep the biggest tile still in the bottom right where ever possible. if it moves and a 2 sneaks in behind, your gonna have a rough time. Eventually, the biggest are in the bottom right slots, but the top right grows as well and the middle may have smaller tiles I am storing to pack together.
