I searched google a bit and found nothing. But I can't be the only one who has noticed the ISIS flag has the word "Jews" in English, right in the middle of the circle portion. Ironically of course, I have to assume; the flag has no English. But it strikes me every time I see it.

I am picturing other members googling this and finding nothing too. This amazes me, like "ew! that guy is weird he noticed that" sort of like looking at a Rorschach ink blotch and saying it looks like something that makes everybody think I'm a nut. But it looks like that to me for sure!

Nothing really comes up in the search, although this thread does!

PS: in that language you read right to left I think, making it even more ironic. At least I am assuming that is not supposed to read "jews"

I didn't reply two days ago, but I will now.

Sooner or later, a bunch of squiggles will look like something. Congrats. You found one that looks like something controversial.

Shit happens.

Or would you prefer I think of you as a crazy nut?

I haven't commented out of ignorance. I have no idea what Isis is, and am only vaguely familiar with it enough to know it's something from over in the violent desert. Another advantage of having no TV ;)

A quick Google search revealed some sort of wallet, the Institute for Science and International Security (meh), and the International Species Information System (hmm). So yay! for remaining in the dark =)

Ignorance is bliss =)

If it makes you feel any better, I obviously see the "jews".

BTW: Me too.

But I doubt if I would have noticed it if it hadn't been mentioned.

And I'm with Face: I have no idea what Isis is. Nor do I care.

That was a special threat for everybody having an Archer t-shirt with their special agency's logo - ISIS.

Um... no. I don't find it ironic that the name "Mohammad" is on a flag. And since I'm getting no results in quotes for either "Mohammad looks like Jews" or "Muhammad looks like Jews," I'm guessing you're pretty much alone.

I do, however, find it nicely ironic that we've basically accidentally named a band of Islamic fundamentalists after a pagan goddess. So there's that. (I'm actually surprised they haven't complained... as far as I know.)
