Everything is live online during waking hours which is actually rare unless the event is in the USA

The excitement went away after the Cold War ended. The drama was no more. No reason to tune in now. Winter Games maybe, a little more interesting. Cold outside so you are inside. But summertime? Meh.

then why
Wall to wall TV coverage and every event live on the internet.
Its the Planet that is watching, that's what counts, that accounts for the wall to wall coverage
People want to know and watch
That's why there is wall to wall coverage, the planet is very interested

I would rather have world Olympics than tax free NFL/NBA. Sports does more to promote world peace than does the UN.

I can't speak for "Nobody," whoever they are. As for me, I figure if I can make do without gymnastics, swim races, fencing, horse riding, rowing races, track, field, and endless etc. for 3 years, eleven months and two weeks, I may as well keep on doing without for another two weeks and then start all over again :)
